Suspended Ceiling Fitting Guide
Before commencing installation, make sure you have the correct tools to hand.
Here is a List:
Also run a check list of your ceiling material, e.g. :
Decide what level you want your new ceiling. The wall angle should be fixed first, to your level marked using spirit level or laser leveler. Recommend minimum depth of 100mm (or 4”). Measure room and set out position of the main supporting tees.
= 4 full tiles = 2.4 metres with 1 metre over equals 500mm cuts
Or 5 full tiles = 3 metres with 400mm over divided by two equals 200mm cut
Now fit cross tees 1200mm by 600mm to form 600mm squares.
Fit some full tiles to square up grid tilt and fit boards to drop into grid.
|Use laser to level wires or run stay line across and bend wire to 90 degrees to push through holes in main tee.|
Install main runner having first cut it to ensure the centre of a slot is in line with first cross tee. Push wire through holes in top of main tee and twist.
When full tiles sit in grid square and easy, fit edge tees cut into size.
Then fill all perimeter tiles and remainder of the full tiles.
